Dr Mya Mya Thein graduated MBBS from University of Medicine (1), Yangon, Myanmar in 1972. She received Master Degree in Obstetrics & Gynecology from University of Medicine(1) Yangon in 1984. Specialist Medical Officer at Central Women Hospital in 1984 and at Lashio in 1990. Consultant Obstetrics and Gynecologist and Head of Department at Kinola Pilah Hospital, Malaysia from 1995 to 2000. Consultant Obstetrics and Gynecologist at Nyaung Oo Hospital , Mandalay Division from 2003 to 2008.
