Dr Gangaiamaran has completed his undergraduate degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (India) and a postgraduate degree in Respiratory Medicine from Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER University). He also holds a WHO-accredited certification in Diabetes from MV Diabetes and Research Centre (Chennai). He is a member of the Indian Chest Society and the European Respiratory Society. Dr Gangaiamaran has four international publications in index journal to his credit and has presented scientific papers at national and international conferences. He was also invited as a guest speaker at the 2nd Conference of the Myanmar Thoracic Society. With 14 years of experience, Dr. Gangaiamaran has worked as a Junior Resident at CHRI (India) from 2009 to 2013, as a Senior Resident at MMCRI (India) from 2013 to 2016, and as an Assistant Professor at CHRI (India) from 2016 to 2018. Since 2018, he has been a Consultant Specialist in Pulmonology at Pun Hlaing Hospitals. He has also served as an undergraduate and postgraduate teacher in medical school. Currently, Dr. Gangaiamaran sees patients in the Pulmonology Department at Pun Hlaing Hospitals. He has special interests in treating COPD, smoking cessation, allergies and asthma, interstitial lung diseases (ILD), tuberculosis (TB), obstructive sleep apneas (OSA), and bronchoscopic interventions.
