Yangon, Myanmar – 6 August 2026 — HEAL by Pun Hlaing Application (HEAL App), Myanmar’s first hospital-led digital healthcare platform, celebrates its third anniversary today — marking three years of driving digital transformation and expanding accessible, high-quality care across the nation.
Powered by YOMA-OUE Pun Hlaing Hospitals Group, which encompasses 3 hospitals, 3 medical towers, 4 HEAL by Pun Hlaing Family Clinics, and 10 blood collection centres across the country, the digital platform has become an integral part of how patients and families experience care.
Launched on 6 August 2023, the HEAL App was created with a clear purpose: to make trusted healthcare more accessible, connected, and convenient. Three years later, it has become the digital front door of Pun Hlaing Hospitals, supporting more than 150,000 registered users and bringing care beyond traditional hospital walls. This journey reflects Pun Hlaing’s core belief that digital innovation must deliver tangible service value to the community.
Healthcare is most effective when it feels continuous and human. At the heart of HEAL App’s design is Pun Hlaing’s operational Hub and Spoke Model, which brings together central hospital anchors, neighborhood clinics, and local collection points into one unified ecosystem. Integrated seamlessly through an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, the application bridges these physical touchpoints into a single, supportive care journey. Whether a patient is consulting a doctor remotely from home, accessing health records, or visiting a nearby clinic, their story and medical history travel with them.
What began as essential services like Teleconsultation, Medical Records access, and Health Articles has naturally grown into a more complete care partner. Through AI-integrated Medical Trends, patients can now track and understand their screening results over time, turning complex data into thoughtful personal health insights. The application also simplifies everyday healthcare needs by enabling patients to book Home Care appointments, schedule Specialist consultations, utilise Family Tagging to look after loved ones, and chat directly with doctors.
This human-centered approach was demonstrated during Pun Hlaing Hospitals’ 21st Year Anniversary campaign, when over 9000 Medical Check-Up Packages were booked through the HEAL App in just 30 days. By reducing administrative friction and easing the journey for patients, the platform allowed clinical teams to focus on what matters most: providing warm, attentive care.
As HEAL App enters its next phase, its focus remains firmly on deepening its support for patients and families throughout every stage of life. Future developments will expand beyond clinical access into holistic well-being, including a wellness marketplace, thoughtful loyalty programmes, enriched family health features, and digital touchpoints designed to guide patients before, during, and after their hospital visits.
More than a platform, HEAL by Pun Hlaing stands as a practical expression of empathy and innovation working hand in hand. As the Group looks ahead, it remains dedicated to fulfilling its quiet, enduring mission: making quality healthcare truly accessible to every community, and continuing to help build a better Myanmar for its people.
