Yangon, Myanmar - October 2026 – Yoma-OUE Pun Hlaing Hospitals hosted a World Heart Day Academic Session, bringing together doctors, healthcare professionals and specialists to share knowledge and strengthen collaboration in cardiovascular health, from prevention and early detection to diagnosis, treatment and long-term care.
The session featured discussions on a range of cardiovascular topics, including Coronary Artery Disease, clinical management and reversal strategies, approaches to managing palpitations, and paediatric cardiac care through “Repairing Little Hearts” in Myanmar. These discussions provided an opportunity for healthcare professionals to exchange clinical expertise and explore approaches to improving patient care.
Beyond treatment, the session highlighted the importance of prevention and early detection, recognising how everyday lifestyle choices can help reduce cardiovascular risks and support long-term well-being. Empowering people to understand their health, recognise warning signs and seek timely medical attention remains an important part of improving heart health.
The World Heart Day Academic Session reflects Pun Hlaing Hospitals’ commitment to continuous learning and collaboration, recognising that when healthcare professionals learn and grow together, patients and communities benefit through better-informed clinical practice and quality care.
Guided by its Purpose to Build a Better Myanmar for its People, Yoma-OUE Pun Hlaing Hospitals Group remains committed to advancing healthcare through clinical excellence, preventive health awareness and meaningful community engagement, contributing to a healthier future for the people it serves.
