- Patient Care:
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Develop and manage patient treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and therapies as needed.
- Provide preventive care, including vaccinations and health screenings.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Clinical Duties:
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Perform minor surgical procedures as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
- Follow up on patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- For police cases, Family Practitioner shall give initial primary care & life saving measures & refer patient to government hospital with proper referral form and need to take pictorial record for accident and trauma cases and suspicious police case and printed picture must be kept in patientโs medical record (EMR system) as an evidence.
- Patient Interaction:
- Build and maintain strong patient-doctor relationships.
- Address patient concerns and questions with empathy and professionalism.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Administrative Duties:
- Participate in clinic meetings and case discussions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinic policies and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and continuing education.
- For notifiable communicable disease, Family Practitioner shall follow management guideline for proper reporting to township health authorities and referral of patient.
- To attend regular CME, CPD, Clinical skill training, Mortality & Morbidity meeting and online learning courses to keep in touch with up to date patient management guidelines.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with nursing staff, medical assistants, and administrative personnel.
- Provide guidance and support to other healthcare team members.
