Biography

Dr. Win Htein read medicine in Ireland and obtained his primary medical qualification from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Upon subsequent completion of the core surgical training programs in General Surgery, Accident & Emergency, Vascular Surgery and Orthopedics, he opted to further his professional pursuit in Orthopedic Surgery and was admitted to the much-coveted Speciality Training program for Trauma & Orthopedics. Through this structured specialist training, he achieved membership qualifications (MRCS) from the Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland, Edinburgh, Glasgow and London) and a Mch degree from University College Dublin through research dissertation in the field of novel surface technology for arthroplastic implants.

Being a keen advocate of Evidence Based Medicine and continuous professional development, he has published various paper and served in different executive capacities on the hospitals’ committees dedicated to academic training and development of surgical trainees. His sub-specialty interest is lower limb Arthroplasty.
Dr. Win Htein did his Orthopedics training in Ireland where he gained extensive experience in the management of all aspects of Orthopedics Surgery, Trauma Surgery and its complications. His experience exceeds more than 10 years.
